Tart with Sour Cherry

Ingredients (for 8 servings):

  • 500 g frozen sour cherries
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 pack of sponge cake mix
  • 1 water glass of granulated sugar
  • 200 g milk cream
  • 1 grated orange peel
  • 150 g margarine
  • 1 water glass of Dimes Sour Cherry Nectar
  • 2 packs of vanilla
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Salt


After preparing the sponge cake mix, pour it onto the baking pan covered with waxed paper. Bake in the oven pre-heated to 175°c for 10 minutes. Mix the cream with grated orange peel and spread it on the half-baked dough. Lay the sour cherries that were mixed with the Dimes Sour Cherry Nectar over the top. Pour flour, sugar, a pinch of salt, egg yolks, 2 tablespoons of cold water into a bowl and add the margarine sliced into pieces. Mix all ingredients and make the dough. Roll the dough into ½ cm thickness and cover the sour cherries with it. Bake for 30 minutes on the second tray of the oven and once baked, leave it to cool. You may serve with sprinkled icing sugar or ice-cream on top if desired.
